Occasio 2009 Zinfandel – This terroir-inspired Zinfandel hails from the spectacular 2009 vintage, showcasing both the elegance of the fruit and the robust power prized in this varietal. Summer in a bottle, this Zinfandel invites itself to share in all of your outdoor summer dining experiences.

Occasio 2011 Sauvignon Blanc – Our 2011 Sauvignon Blanc is a lively expression of our exceptional terroir. Bright citrus and vibrant tropical flavors combine with the crisp minerality so highly prized in our wines. An ideal wine for relaxing on the deck, a picnic lunch, or an elegant dinner.

2010 Angelica Rated 92 Points

News just in- Wine Enthusiast Magazine has given our 2010 Angelica a 92-point rating, scheduled to be written up in the June 2012 issue of their buyers guide. This is the highest rating that Wine Enthusiast has given to an Angelica-styled wine, and the highest rating ever given to a dessert wine from Livermore Valley.

Who says white wines can’t age? At this month’s Library Tasting we will sample four vintages of Sauvignon Blanc, from our first release in 2008 through the current 2011 release. Try to unravel the twin effects of vintage and bottle age on these wines. As always, this event is complimentary to our members and their guests.

Cabernet Franc Receives 90-Points! Release Date Announced

We were informed by Wine Enthusiast Magazine that our 2009 Cabernet Franc has received a 90-point rating. Wine editor Virginie Boone writes, ” Occasio continues to plumb the depths of the Del Arroyo vineyard and its abilities with each of the red Bordeaux grapes, this time deftly showing what it can do with the enfent terrible that is Cab Franc. Give it some time to open and then enjoy its densely layered richness of cherry and coffee and plumb.”

This is a truly exceptional wine, and was produced in a very limited quantity. With less than 15 cases, we are taking orders for this wine in advance of a general tasting for members on Saturday, April 14th. Members can reserve their wine by contacting the winery.

The editors at Wine Enthusiast Magazine have given our 2009 Livermore Valley Cabernet Sauvignon a 90-point rating. This was our first Cab, and we are delighted with the result. The rating will appear in the May, 2012, issue of the magazine.
